Parisot Design LLC Architecture + Planning was established in 2002 by Architect Robert Parisot, AIA as a consulting and full service architectural practice serving Connecticut and the greater New York area. A graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Architecture and Planning in 1978 Mr. Parisot has been in continued professional practice since with over 39 years of professional experience. Having worked with architectural firms in New Mexico and Connecticut, he spent 13 years (from 1989-2002) with Roger Ferris + Partners in Westport, CT where he was a partner and party to numerous firm design awards, including co-recipient of the 1997 James Beard Foundation National Design Award. On that strong foundation Mr. Parisot then embarked in a new direction and design philosophy to pursue architectural practice as a “collaborative soloist” providing architectural services for a broad range of residential and commercial project types.

A Connecticut native growing up in a family of artists and musicians in the 50’s and 60’s Mr. Parisot learned early on from his father, renowned virtuoso cellist Aldo Parisot and professor at Yale School of Music, that to be a “soloist” one must be equally accomplished as a chamber player as well. The success of a great string quartet is due to the collaborative language that radiates within a grouping of solo performers who interpret the same musical score. The concept holds a strong parallel in architectural practice where the Architect must also engage in a collaborative language through a design process with all the participants of a project to achieve its success.
